All children over the age of 3 are entitled to 15 hours of free education per week until they start school.
From the term after their 3rd birthday your child can go to school nursery but if you cannot get a place in your chosen school, or you prefer the more homely environment of nursery, these 15 hours can be taken in a private day nursery.
There are many advantages of taking your entitlement in a private setting. You can choose the hours that suit you, you are not tied to traditional school times and you can stretch your entitlement across the week and even across the year much more flexibly. In a private nursery we also have lower staff to child ratios, there is 1 staff member for 8 children as opposed to 1 staff to 13 children in school, which means your child will receive more individual attention. We have a qualified teacher in our pre-school room who delivers focused teaching sessions throughout the week to ensure that the children receive their pre-school education in a fun and exciting way.
